For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Carolyn Goetz. I am an amateur photographer living in Castle Rock, Colorado. Ever since I can remember I have had a passion for photography. My most treasured possessions are my photography albums and I still enjoy thumbing through them and reliving all the wonderful memories of days gone by.
Fast forward to the twenty-first century and I have finally moved into the digital world and love the new technology. I invested in the Canon 50D mark3 and my photography world changed forever! I’m so inspired to learn more about composition, lighting, shutter speed, aperture, and lenses. My husband and I love to travel, so I have the wonderful opportunity to sharpen my skills by photographing in many beautiful places.
I most enjoy photographing wildlife and landscape. Having been to Africa several times, I’ve grown passionate for all of its beauty and the amazing wildlife and the wondrous lands in which they live. Capturing the unique beauty of a location and it’s wildlife or landscape motivates me to invest as much time as I can out in the wilderness, focusing on nothing more than to create a photograph with enough emotion and visual drama to tell a story: to justify to the viewer the immense beauty of that experience. The photographs on my website portray my passion for this, in a way that is both creative and natural. I love to share my work with other people who will appreciate it as well.
I have since given up my years of working behind a computer and now spend my free time outdoors with my camera. Through my photos, I hope to inspire a greater appreciation for the wildlife and beauty that surrounds them.
